Project Slayers 2 Tanto Knife Guide

The Tanto Knife is a close-range weapon built around quick blade pressure and three showcased specials. Its basic M1 chain appears first, then the video shows a toss-and-slash barrage, a forward spinning advance, and a throw that can pull you in for a kick if the blade lands.

Moveset

MoveWhat it doesPractical use
M1 attacksThe showcase introduces the Tanto and its M1 strikes at 1:13.Use M1s to keep pressure steady between specials.
Phantom BarrageThe user tosses and catches the Tanto, then follows with a rapid slash barrage.Good for committed close pressure when you can stay in range long enough to finish the sequence.
Spiral FangThe user spins forward and can steer during the movement. Contact with an opponent reduces momentum.Treat this as a moving approach tool. The steering helps line up your path, but it slows if you run into someone early.
Tanto DescentThe blade is thrown. If it lands, the user air-dashes to it, retrieves it, and kicks the opponent away.Use it when you have a clear lane for the throw. The follow-up depends on the hit, so a miss does not carry you in automatically.

How to Use It

The Tanto Knife rewards players who read spacing instead of pressing every move at once. Phantom Barrage and M1s both favor direct pressure, while Spiral Fang gives you a controllable forward spin that can help you angle into a target.

Tanto Descent depends on the throw landing first. When it connects, the weapon lets you close the gap with an air-dash, reclaim the blade, and finish with a kick that pushes the opponent away. If the throw misses, do not expect that follow-up to happen.

A simple practice priority is to learn when you can safely advance with Spiral Fang, then try Tanto Descent when the target is lined up with the blade throw. That keeps the weapon focused on its shown strengths without relying on unconfirmed combo routes.

The weapon showcase ends before the developer Q&A at 2:30, so no further Tanto behavior is demonstrated in the video.
