Project Slayers 2 Wind Breathing Guide
Wind Breathing in Project Slayers 2 is built around launching, suspending, knocking back, and repositioning around targets with vertical wind attacks. Its showcased moves include both close range pressure tools and ranged wind slashes, with several skills changing behavior based on spacing, tapping, holding, or landing the first hit.
For the broader category, see Breathing Styles.
Mountain Wind
Mountain Wind starts with an upward slash that carries the user upward. The move then follows with a second slash that drives the target down. In practice, this makes the skill a launch and slam style attack rather than a simple forward projectile.
Because the confirmed footage shows the user moving with the upward slash, the main thing to practice is spacing before activation. You want to understand where the first slash begins and how the second hit finishes the target’s movement.
Purifying Claws
Purifying Claws creates four vertical slashes. Its important confirmed mechanic is the second input: if the initial claw connects, pressing the skill again teleports the user above the target for a follow up.
Do not treat the second press as automatic from the footage alone. The useful habit is to watch for the first claw connecting, then use the repeat input to take the teleport follow up. This makes Purifying Claws one of Wind Breathing’s clearest hit confirm practice moves.
Rising Dust Storm
Rising Dust Storm has a long range form that sends a vertical cyclone traveling in the aimed direction. This gives Wind Breathing a directional ranged option instead of only point blank slashes.
At close range, Rising Dust Storm changes into a cyclone around the user that deals repeated hits. The same named move therefore rewards two different practice priorities: aim control at distance, and close positioning when you want the cyclone to form around you.
Whirlwind Cutter
Whirlwind Cutter has tap and hold behavior.
When tapped, Whirlwind Cutter produces two vertical strikes. The first strike suspends airborne targets, then the stronger second hit knocks them backward. This version is about timing the two hit sequence and understanding when the knockback occurs.
When held, Whirlwind Cutter becomes a spinning horizontal wind cyclone. It deals sustained hits before ending with a heavier knockback slash. Since tapping and holding create different attack shapes, practice them as separate tools rather than assuming one timing covers both.
Typhoon finisher
The typhoon finisher has both ranged and close range behavior. At range, the user leaps and sends out three large slashes. If the final slash connects, the user teleports to the target for the follow through shown in the showcase.
At close range, the typhoon finisher triggers a cinematic sequence, launches caught targets, and ends with a ground slam.
Practice priorities
To practice the demonstrated mechanics, focus on:
- Landing Mountain Wind’s rising slash and reading where the downward finish places the target.
- Confirming the first hit of Purifying Claws before pressing the skill again.
- Switching Rising Dust Storm habits between aimed range use and close range cyclone use.
- Separating tap Whirlwind Cutter from held Whirlwind Cutter.
- Testing typhoon finisher spacing so you recognize the ranged slash version and close cinematic version.
